Voting in The Jim Crow South

In this activity, I played the role of an African American who wanted to vote. The point that this activity was trying to get out is how hard it was for an African American to vote in those times. It highlighted all of the obstacles that would be in your way and actually gives you the type of literacy test you would have to take. I learned that it was very hard, even impossible at times, to vote in the Jim Crow south.
